Pakistani government decides to quarantine Pakistanis from abroad for only 2 days
According to sources, the Prime Minister decided to keep Pakistanis from abroad in quarantine for two days while the Punjab government has been informed about this decision.
Sources said that overseas Pakistanis were facing difficulties in being kept in quarantine for 7 days after a long journey but now the Prime Minister has directed the Punjab government to test the overseas Pakistanis in 2 days on their return.
According to sources, in case of a positive test, the returning Overseas Pakistanis will be kept in isolation while in case of a negative test, the citizens will be sent home in two days.
It may be recalled that the federal government had recently changed the procedure of quarantining Pakistanis returning home, under which returning Pakistanis would stay in hotels for seven days at their own expense.
